What it fixes on Udio exports
Udio generates a great mix, but its exports share a few finishing problems — two separate things worth keeping apart: quiet is about loudness, harsh is about tone. TrackGleam's engine is tuned to address exactly these:
- Too quiet. Raw exports often sit well below streaming level and vary track to track. The engine brings you toward a safe ~−14 LUFS integrated so a whole set plays at a consistent, commercial loudness.
- The 4–7 kHz AI sheen. Generative models leave an edgy glare in the presence band — sibilance, cymbal glare, glassy vocal tops. A small, broad de-harshing move calms it without dulling genuine air above.
- Low-mid mud (200–450 Hz). A build-up of low-mid energy makes Udio tracks sound boxy or cloudy. A modest cut there opens space so bass and vocals breathe.
- True-peak overs. A −1 dBTP ceiling keeps the master from clipping after streaming platforms apply their own processing and codecs.
Mastering polishes a finished mix — it can't repair glitches, warble, or smeared transients baked into a bad generation. If the source is genuinely broken, the honest fix is to regenerate. But on most Udio exports the difference is immediate.
Is this allowed?
Yes — and it's deliberately built to stay that way:
- We only touch files you've already exported. TrackGleam masters a track you downloaded with Udio's own export. It doesn't log into your account, read the Udio site, scrape anything, or bypass any protection.
- Check your plan's rights before releasing. Udio's download, export, and licensing behavior has shifted during its 2025–2026 changes, and what you may release can depend on your plan and the current terms. Review Udio's current terms for your plan before distributing commercially.
- Your audio never leaves your device. All processing happens locally in your browser via WebAssembly and Web Audio. For the optional AI master, only numbers — loudness, tone, stereo — are sent, never the audio.

What loudness should I master a Udio song to for Spotify?
Aim for roughly −14 LUFS integrated with true peak at or below −1 dBTP. Spotify normalizes playback to about −14 LUFS in its default mode anyway, so pushing much louder mainly costs you dynamics without making you louder on the platform.
Why do my Udio exports sound harsh?
Generative audio models tend to leave an edgy sheen around 4–7 kHz, a range your ear is very sensitive to. A gentle, broad reduction in that band during mastering tames the glare while keeping genuine high-end air, usually alongside a small low-mid cut around 200–450 Hz for mud.
