How the auto-pick decides
When you flip to GleamAI without choosing, the app scores all five engineers against your track's measurements: flattened transients raise Knox's score, an edgy top raises Ember's, a narrow-but-phase-safe image raises Wyla's, unused headroom raises Maxx's, healthy dynamics raise True's. The detected genre adds a small nudge — hip-hop leans Knox, acoustic leans True — but measurements outrank it. The recommendation comes with its reason in plain language, and if you picked a style on the free master first, the flip simply continues your direction: Punchy lands on Knox, Warm on Ember.
Safety gates can overrule everything: Wyla will not widen a mix whose bass fails the phase check, and Maxx will not push a track that is already at the loudness ceiling. When a gate fires, the narration says so instead of pretending.
What you see while you listen
The "What Knox Heard" card narrates the actual session: what the engineer measured ("transient attack is flattened — 6.8 dB crest"), the moves being made ("transient attack restored; kick region kept clean"), and — once the exact render lands — the measured result in integrated LUFS and true peak. Every line is tied to a real measurement or a real parameter; nothing is invented for effect.
